I have not used buyers agent myself for my own property acquisition. Under the FIRB, foreigners can only buy new properties hence it is always my interest to look for new developments that fit my criteria for property selection in Melbourne. However, you can go to http://www.australianhousehunters.com.au/buyers_agents.htm to look for an appropriate buyers agent. I have heard Monique Wakelin speak at a conference and also read most of her journels. I like her advice to investors.
Most of the time, you wouldn’t know if they are good until you have used them.

I am in the process of purchasing a property and was wondering how strange it is for the buyer to be paying for the bank’s lawyers fee to protect the interest of the bank and duplicate task of checking the land title, which is already done by my own lawyer representing my interest. Is this common practice? Please advise.

I’m running a blog with a community of keen property investors. Property price at home ( that’s Singapore) has soared and my lot thinks it’s better to buy elsewhere. Any recommendations for Aussie Property?
